SAMBAROOTS PLAYS IN A TRADITIONAL RODA DE SAMBA – LITERALLY "SAMBA CIRCLE" – WHERE THE MUSICIANS STAY AT GROUND LEVEL WITH THE AUDIENCE GATHERED AROUND THEM. NO STAGE, NO SEPARATION. JUST AN INTIMATE CIRCLE THAT PULLS YOU INTO ITS MAGNETIC ENERGY.

Whenever SambaRoots starts playing, something shifts in the room. People are drawn in, the energy lifts, and suddenly you're part of a Brazilian-style celebration.

This is the Brazilian way, drenched in African Roots and its history, Samba is sung from the heart, together with the audience dancing, laughing, singing and clapping shoulder to shoulder. In a Roda de Samba, you're not just a spectator – you're part of the communal musical experience.

Discover the lovely Ceintuur Theater in the Pijp. Samba Roots will play a live set from 15-16:30. Doors open from 12-17. Free entrance!

Samba & Feijoda Sundays Ressaca do Rei

Unfortunately Samba do Rei is cancelled. But we are back with our regular Missa just a few days after Kingsday to celebrate Brazilian style. All your favorite Samba’s, Cozinha da Jana with her delicious Feijoada and Caipirinhas & cold beers to complete your Sunday.
